Assistant Technician

After high school I attended Calmar Northeast Iowa Community College for two years. The first year I was in the veterinarian technician program and the second year I elected to do the assistant technician program and graduated.
There was a job opening for an assistant when I finished school and I was offered a job allowing me to returned to Colonial Terrace Animal Hospital in the summer on 2019.

I love working in this field, it is perfect for me. I have a passion for learning and being around animals. It’s always a joy seeing animals and their different personality. They are so different from people. I have learned so much from my chocolate Lab named Duke. He turned a year old in 2019.
