Colonial
Terrace Animal Hospital is a companion animal hospital whose mission
is to offer state-of-the-art medical
and surgical care to its patients. As an accredited member of the
American
Animal Hospital Association, CTAH must meet the high standards
set by the association. The American Animal Hospital Association
(AAHA) established standards for veterinary care
and fosters professionalism in all aspects of hospital operations.
To become AAHA certified, a hospital must comply with all standards
and is evaluated on a regular basis. Only 12% of hospitals in the
United States and Canada have met these qualifications and we are
proud to be one of them. We are enthused about offering top quality
veterinary care to our patients and clients. We welcome all types
of companion animals in our newly enlarged and remodeled veterinary
hospital. New patients are always welcome.
HISTORY
Colonial
Terrace Animal Hospital has been at its current location since September
of 1972. Many changes and additions have taken place since then. A building was added in 1988 to allow separate and additional space for boarding
of animals. Updates have occurred inside the hospital, the most recent being
a 40% increase in the floor space and total reconfiguration of the interior
to better accommodate our patients, clients, and staff. The new clinic
includes:
- a
refurbished and enlarged reception area with separate seating
for dogs and cats
- a
new staff room
- a
new surgical
suite
- a
new laboratory
- an
additional (fourth) exam room/grief counseling area
- a
dental/ultrasound suite
- a
surgical preparation area
- a
doctor's reference library
- a
new patient isolation area
These changes have allowed us to continue to offer
the high level of careourclients have come to expect over
the years.
